The Young Center

The Young Center for Academic and Cultural Enrichment (Young Center) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been a dynamic force in the training and development of America’s next generation of leaders.  For more than a decade, the Young Center has inspired and prepared a new generation of leaders of leaders to achieve academic excellence graduates and future leaders of their communities.  The organization’s leadership training model is considered “one of the most effective of its kind in the nation and its participants have been accepted at over 60 United States colleges and universities to date.  Our Story

Our Mission

To educate, train and inspire our youth to become future leaders in our society by providing them with innovative and effective programs that empower them with knowledge, skills and determination needed to rise above their limitations, realize their potential for success in life, and serve their communities as advocates for positive change.


Our Vision & Goal

To cultivate a new generation of ethical leaders, critical thinkers, and engaged citizens needed for the survival for a diverse, democratic society.  We value our youth as future leaders.  With the proper training and guidance, we believe that young people can and will develop the knowledge, ability, and determination to lead our nation into the 21st Century and help create positive and lasting change that is needed in the world.  


Who We Serve

We serve a youth population that is ethnically, culturally, academically, and economically diverse.  Our programs primarily target youth from low-to-moderate income households in underserved communities in the Greater Los Angeles area.
