Youth Education Summits

Youth Education & Empowerment Summits are dynamic public forums and town hall meetings held in local cities and communities statewide that bring together diverse youth of the community to discuss and address important local issues.  They are also intended to facilitate a positive dialog between ethnically diverse youth, and teach them how to bridge the gaps that divide them and work together to solve their common problems.

Youth participants represent local schools, churches, community organizations, and youth groups.  They engage their peers in a dynamic interchange of ideas as they seek to find solutions to the challenges facing their community.   Discussions are youth-driven with an emphasis on examining issues from the point-of-view of young people.  Adults serve as program facilitators, evaluators, mentors, and panelists.
