Alum Michael Tubbs vies to become California's next Lieutenant Governor
Kaelani Amputch-Curtis creates scholarship fund for low-income students
Alum Kaelani Amputch-Curtis, Events Coordinator at Imagine LA, has established a scholarship aimed at supporting low-income youth participants. "Being part of the Young Center was a transformative experience for me," Kaelani reflects. "This inaugural scholarship will eliminate financial barriers for an outstanding Young Center scholar who demonstrates remarkable tenacity in pursuing their goals."
Attorney Bianca Falcon inspires underserved youth to achieve success
Bianca Falcon, who joined the Young Center at just 15, is now a practicing attorney who has represented Fortune 500 companies. "Being a part the Young Center was a life-changing experience for me," she reflects. Bianca and her family have generously donated funds to create opportunities for more low-income youth, enabling them to transform their lives through participation in Young Center programs.
Felipe Hernandez shares his personal journey to inspire others
Attorney Felipe Hernandez, who is also an English & Leadership Professor and Fulbright Scholar, generously dedicates time to educate and inspire students who share his background. At the Young Center, Felipe recounts his remarkable journey from the gang-infested streets of Paramount, California, to the executive boardroom of a prestigious law firm in Los Angeles. His story serves as a testament to resilience and the power of education.
